| Giovanni's Restaurant has been in business, at the same location, for 30 years. Giovanni's was started by the husband and wife team of Giovanni and Nella Acireale. Giovanni's started as a small one room restaurant serving "traditional" Italian cuisine. Giovanni Acireale would cook in the kitchen while Nella Acireale would tend to the customers needs in the dining room. It is this family atmosphere that has allowed Giovanni's to thrive in a very competitive business. Giovanni's of today is a far cry from the Giovanni's of 1972. The owners, the location and the name are still the same, but the menu is now innovative upbeat Contemporary Italian cuisine. Giovanni has handed over his kitchen to his son, Toni Acireale. Toni has added a modern twist to traditional ingredients to accommodate new ideas and tastes. The menu was not the only thing to change, in 1997 the restaurant was completely remodeled. The beautiful dark wood, cozy interior was dramatically changed. The building is now two story with a piano bar upstairs nestled beneath a gold domed ceiling. The floors are all natural stone with modern furnishings and cozy booths seated upon them. Patrons are surrounded by modern art, white tablecloths and the buzz and energy of a modern day restaurant. Patrons will still find Giovanni and Nella Acireale making sure all of their needs are satisfied and that their touch of perfection and the finest ingredients is still felt in every meal. A cozy setting for up to 8 guests to indulge in a tantalizing 5 course meal featuring one of our Chefs personal creations for your special occasion. Giovanni can create a Traditional Italian feast or his son Toni can create an eclectic blend of Traditional ingredients with a Global twist; the choice is yours. Prices start at $50 per person for the 5 course meal. Wine can be paired with each course for an additional charge. A perfect idea for intimate gatherings! |
